100 Things About Me

  1. I have very pale skin and burn easily in the sun or wind.
  2. I like foggy and wet weather.
  3. I cut myself shaving more often than not.
  4. I shave in the shower and don't use a mirror very much.
  5. I shave my head, a habit I started in July 2004 while preparing for a trip to Hawaii.
  6. I apparently often look angry or upset when I'm really not.
  7. I ravage my cuticles.
  8. I love to travel, but have seen very little of the world.
  9. Nearsighted; astigmatic.
  10. I met my wife in college - we went on one date, and we're still on it.
  11. I enjoy cooking and consider it a creative outlet.
  12. I tend to kill houseplants. I don't mean to but it happens anyway.
  13. I'm very uncomfortable watching embarassing moments on television.
  14. I'm fascinated with architecture and how space affects behavior.
  15. I did a lot of acting in high school and college, but almost none since.
  16. I'm often told I have a "radio voice."
  17. I can't read music but can carry a tune well enough.
  18. I don't really understand very much about computers and need lots of help keeping this site going.
  19. I met most of my best friends 20 or more years ago.
  20. I broke bones several times in grade school but none very seriously.
  21. I used to have lots of warts on my right hand.
  22. I wrote my first poem in the second grade.
  23. I made my first pun at age six.
  24. I broke my wrist very badly in 2002.
  25. I have hyperlipiditis - high cholesterol - mostly as a result of genetic factors.
  26. I love Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda.
  27. I eat a pretty healthy diet, typically.
  28. I usually prefer cookie dough to acutal cookies.
  29. I do yoga fairly regularly.
  30. I can stand on my head.
  31. I have poor balance.

  34. I once saw Jodie Foster twice in one month - once in a quad at Yale, and then at the Hard Rock Cafe in L.A.
  35. I enjoy swimming in living waters but not in swimming pools.
  36. I prefer bike riding to running but have not made time for it lately.
  37. My parents forbade me from learning to ride a skateboard when I was in grade school.
  38. I used to be a skilled pogo-sticker.

  98. My family name means "maker of golden braid."
  99. I learned to drive in a Mercury Zephyr (powder blue)
