boatramps and snorkeling areas have some sort of magnetic forcefield that knock your equilibrium out of whack and make you look like a big fat idiot in a snorkel. No sweat, dude. I got a nasty bruise and fell face first into a puddle of jellyfish. :-)

I’m going to the Big Island in January and I’m dying to hear more about your trip! Thanks for the tease, but you need to fix that connectivity issue at home. :)
BTW, we are trying to decide if renting a 4WD vehicle is worth the expense while we are there. We’ll be vacationing with three children (ages 6-12), a teenager and a total of 6 adults. The Wizard Pub book has lots of info on beach trails that pretty much require 4WD. Would you recommend it or should we stick with a regular car?

someday there will be a true strunk & wagnall police, and the grammar felons will pay for their wonton underlining and italics.
in the meantime, i envy your laniaain memories.

Must… resist.... urge to make..... horrid comment.... about Kellipuki Rest Area.....
