I really admire the fact that you could agree to dine with a group of people that you don’t know. I could never do that. I always feel so out of place among a group. I’m a one-on-one individual. There was a trip I took once for a three week school in Alabama. I did not get a car and was directed to stay on the base. Everyone in the class was in the same boat as I. In our similiar circumstances it was easy to become tangled friends and in fact, I did stay in touch with one or two of them for about a year after that. Perhaps that’s why you can do that. All of this reflects the definition for ‘being in the same boat’ very well.

I haven’t been able to find the words to thank you for coming to my state and watching over this election. Maybe because I’m so disappointed in my fellow Ohioans who would rather continue as we are. Maybe because I suspect that our Secretary of State had a hand in not making enough voting machines available in high-Democrat voter areas. I think it’s because I don’t want to believe the results.

But I digress. I’m not a native, nor do I live near Cleveland. But I think that city has been bashed around enough for a while. It’s a pretty cool place and I’m glad you had a local available to guide you for a short time.

Oh, I love Cleveland:  I visited it in 1991 and it was still kind of “getting its shit together” (so a local told me) but oh, I loved it in the way that I love any city that makes a comeback.  And Oh, I love you for doing what you did, for going, for having the faith, for fighting the good fight, for being there when you needed to be there.

Don’t read http://www.gregpalast.com this week, it’ll make you cry.  :(

You did it again....you made me cry.  I adore you and I am still so proud to be your friend.
Someone told me recently that he didn’t want to discuss the election because everyone was taking it all much too personally.  I don’t think there’s anything MORE personal than our Democracy and how we administer it.  You, and all the other volunteers, did us all proud.
