lovely. my own thanksgiving will be the smallest it has ever been. I’m going to spend it at my local community center dishing out grub. Part of me thinks I’ll be missing out, but mostly I think it’s going to be a very special day. have a wonderful holiday!

What a beautifully written piece!

For the first time in 12 years I will be spending Thanksgiving without my wife. She always cooked too big a bird, and too many pies and dishes. We would eat to a burst. This year she’ll be cooking for somebody else.

So it’s just my daughter and me, and probably a baked ham. We’ll watch football, throw some hoops, and put up some Christmas decorations. Hopefully a new form of celebration for both of us for years to come!

Thank you for the inspiring words!

Oh my dearestheart....I lovelovelovelove you so very much.  This is the first Thanksgiving without my parents in many, many years.  I will be cooking though because I do enjoy cooking this particular meal and a few friends will be coming over which is comforting.  Embracing change makes it joyful rather than sad....blessings on you and Kell and all you love.
