I don’t understand why the government doesn’t just tax it to death like tobacco. Do they not realize the financial potential of Medical marijuana?
I won’t debate religion on someone elses blog. I respect you too much to go alienating you over something like that! ;-)

weed. all the way??? nah, i’m not too fond of people getting addicted, but honestly, for medical purposes, who the hell cares. Let them have it if they want it.
(and btw. when has wisdom every prevailed? it’s usually the hordes of stupidity that rule the world.)

Legalize the use of all drugs ...

as the mother, daughter, and sister of addicts, some recovering, some not, i also say legalize it. the other way isn’t working. and maybe the tax money can be used to actually help those who are addicted, instead of demonizing and incarcerating them.
as far as medical use, it’s just plain stupid and cruel to deny this. we’ve somehow lost the capacity to empathize. it’s “us against them” to the most ridiculous level.

This is totally off-topic, but I thought you, of all people that I know, would like this site: http://phrontistery.info/ihlstart.html

Dude, as usual your rant was eloquent and insightful. I agree with Pete, you should be arguing this in court. Oh, and your idea about throwing in all those creationism theories into our school’s curriculum? Brilliant!!!

I have to say I agree with you 100% my friend. But our totally worthless and wasteful War On Drugs makes it impossible for us to make reasonable and healthy decisions regarding drugs in general.
I also have to say I sort of agree with you on the creationism myths as well. In some ways I’m tired of fighting with these people. FINE...lets just go there, but as you said, lets go ALL THE WAY THERE!

Filburn matters despite the commodity in question, because of the extent of regulation it permitted to the Federal government. This forms yet another datum in my argument that most Commerce-clause jurisprudence has been totally bogus.
As for creationism, leave it to a religion class. Evolution is a theory, but it’s science‘s theory, and that’s what a science class should have.
