Even though my site is meant to be light-hearted, I’ve noticed that my down moods cause my posts to become more cynical and ranty. It’s a frickin’ pain.

’a truckload of bricks in the soft morning light’

what a great line.

well let’s face it, cynical and ranty is just funnier than lighthearted and serene, greg.  There are very few successful comedies about people sitting about cheerully at peace with themselves. at least you are able to vent and kvetch with wit and humor.  every goddamn time.  really, it’s really starting to get aggravating.

...oh yeah, those bricks.  that image always gets me - and this is only a translation! it sounds so good in the original, i wish i understood it there too…

I thought of Chanukah, I thought of you.  Happy Chanukah, Dan!  I’ll have to see if I can find that somewhere.  Great lyrics.

Funny.  I know this song but I had to look it up.  It was from my mom’s Art Garfunkel album, Breakaway, when I was 6 or 7.  The album cover is pretty racey! http://www.artgarfunkel.com/cdlist.htm.
