I was just talking about the midnight brilliance that is forgotten upon waking with another friend of mine.  It’s SO annoying...but alas very common among us scribblers.

Happy Holidays to you and Kel!!

My unsolicited advice for the day: get yerself a voice recorder attachment for your iPod - then you can mumble those gems of thought into it all day, plus you can pretend you’re a secret agent!

you know i started carrying a notebook earlier this year after you told me about yours.  i find it has done two things; either like you said, it has reinforced what it is that i wanted to remember, so that i don’t have to look back at the notes, or upon reflection it shows my brilliant ideas to be so stupid that i end up not using them.  in either way, i’ve ended up with a notebook full of fragmented thoughts that i never use.  kind of a poor mans Rememberal…

Happy Holidays Dan, to you and Kel!  see you again in the new year.

I bought a small sketch pad to sketch out ideas for paintings. I was so proud of myself for having it and remebering it every day. Not one friggin’ idea.

I have a notebook next to my bed for ideas and to write down dreams. I never go back and look at it.
