i just looked through my traffic logs and in the past few days i’ve gone from 700 to 800 visitors a day to over 1,400.  i’ve had no increase in commenting though.  one thing i have noticed a lot more of is trackback spam.  Blacklist is blocking it all but the URL’s are there in the web logs.  there are some Viagra and Poker sites that are hitting me 60+ times a week—for each of their dozens of URL’s!  that adds up after a while.

and i’m always ready to rock…

I’ll tell you, man I have been getting some doosies myself. I don’t know what is up with people but they are sick and need to get out more!

On January 5th, I got a few trackback pings that didn’t really trackback anywhere. I mentioned it to someone who knows, and his opinion was that it was a test to see which publishing systems would allow massive pinging as the newest form of spam attack. Apparently, mine (Typepad) was not suitable because it didn’t happen again.

This is the first of a series of 7 daily comments from me. Although I am a hemeral* reader, I have not been able to bring myself to comment because sometimes the post itself is near perfection and I did not want to resort to the level of MeTooism, but that’s all I have.
