i count 985 words—how many would you have written if you HAD decided to get loquacious on us?!
love the pics of the WWII memorial, it hadn’t opened yet the last time i was there. i need to make another trip back there to see it. and let me know the next time you need parking in North Beach, i’ll let you in on the parking prayer that was passed down to a friend of mine by her grandmother. she used to live on Green, just up the street from Washington Square and it still works for me everytime.

DGP, you make me laugh.
Love the ‘folded hands’ shot. Honing in on just that segment of the statue makes it much more intimate and ‘real’.
Your home looks so inviting. Makes me want to visit. Nice colour choices, and nice hardwood floor!
Your beverage pic sequence is hilarious. You look just too happy. Hope it tasted as good as it looks.
Thanks for the fun! Have a great day!

How lovely to wake up to the beautiful sunshine -it makes me think of the Joanie Mitchell classic line “and the sun poured in like butterscoth.” My own morning starts with a clock radio that sounds like someone playing staccato notes on a trumpet then quickly moves to the bad news about traffic. I would much rather begin the day with golden sunshine instead of being jarred awake by my toot n’ all.

Excellent post! Makes me think if I went places and did things, people would like my site too! ;)
I dig a guy who can enjoy good Ghanean sentry sculpture AND a movie like Harold and Kumar.

A very dear friend of mine used to live just up the street there from Washington Square. I loved visiting her because North Beach is such fun. Great post sweetie...like a travelog with Dan and Kel.

Dan,
Long time no comment. Hope you are doing well. I haven’t read or written for about a year now, but tonight, for some reason, I found myself stopping by to see how old friends are doing.
I’m actually living in DC now (since November). Sorry to have missed you.

1) I always love your travel logs
2) I still love you, even though you’re a Yoga Spazz
3) does that computer screen (in the office /paint color pic) have a black bar through it because there is a nudie cutie on the desktop?! I HAVE TO KNOW!! ;-)

To command the professors of astronomy to confute their own observations is to enjoin an impossibility, for it is to command them not to see what they do see, and not to understand what they do understand, and to find what they do not discover. by online texas hold em
