I am the exact opposite. I take too long opening doors. You can almost hear the vulture from the Bugs Bunny cartoons in the background… aaaa loople doople loop a doop.

by normal people’s standards i open doors too fast but it’s still not fast enough for me. i always seem to get tangled up in the process. not so much that you would notice (i think) but enough to make me break my stride.

you know which doors NEVER open up fast enough? automatic sliding glass doors. i always seem to have to slide in because the damn doors are so fucking slow. sometimes fast is exactly what you want, y’know?

oooooooooooooh this is me too.  I’m gonna brain somebody one of these days.

I open doors fast too, because I am moving with a purpose too. The difference? I search the door top to bottom to find the spot that is least used so that I can place my hand *THERE* to open it. I work in a government building so the coat of paint on doorways is generally as old as the building I’m in. Around chest level on every door is a few scratches, areas where the paint surface shows a great deal of wear. Everyone that passes through that door pushes in that area to open the door. Sometimes, something may make people start to use an area just a little below the handle or even with the handle to the right and these areas will show wear too. So, me, I look up, way up the door until my hand is above my head when I push because the paint is just old there, not a mark of past touches lingers. And I may look funny, but I bet I circumvent a few flu booglies that way too.

my ex also used to pull doors open as if he had just won a tug-of-war.  and he’s a quiet sort, generally (except when singing) you and he are two very discrete guys.
