You were on my mind alot today (no not in a weird way - get your mind outta the gutter), because last night I finally set about baking schnecken, my Dan and I had them for breakfast this morning, and took the remainder to our family Christmas gathering where they were enjoyed by all.  I cannot tell you how many times I wished you were here to check my work, but since they were very yummy I must have done something right.  My best to you all - may your holidays be wonderful and you new year filled with promise and wonder!

Okay, fellow Commenters—who ELSE can’t help but grin when they set eyes on that gleeful little fellow?! (I’m talking about Zach, not Dan...)

You have the hippest most cultural household I have ever seen. And I love each and every one of you.

today, my dear boy, you have officially entered gleeful parenthood. Oh, I don’t mean “actual” parenthood, with its dirty diapers, wealth of worries and spit-up-upon favorite shirts, but the gleeful parenthood that compels otherwise rational human beings to make silly faces publicly and lose all inhibition formerly attached to the sharing of said silly faces. Dan, I equally gleefully and oh so formally knight you DAD.
