Okay, this comment is about a silly thing not relating to your commuter tale, but to your airport destination tomorrow. And it’s embarrassing to me, but what the hell.

I was a Customer Services Rep. for a company in Canada (where I live), but most of our clients were American. Many of our clients had to travel to attend the workshops we offered, so we CSRs were regularly giving out airport information, which we referenced from a typed list which we were provided at work.

It wasn’t until ONE ENTIRE YEAR after receiving our annually updated list and the typo was corrected that I discovered that I had been directing hundreds of clients to the ‘Oulles’ airport. Not a single client (or eavesdropping co-worker) had ever corrected me on my mistake.

Funny Canadians. Ya, that’s what they were all thinking.

happy new year dan !
and thanks for both transit tales - the wishfully airborne and the woefully bus-bound.

(i arrived at dulles 3 hours before my flight, btw, and it took nearly 2 of them to get through the various lines.  you have my sympathies.)
