Dan, you have made my day!  Now I have photographic evidence that I CAN cook… or bake.  Next time I’ll remember to put make-up on before attempting to do any housework… never know when you’ll be lurking with your camera.  Miss you guys already!  Cheers!

wow.  we make empanadas as a holiday tradition also and they’re totally different. they’re deep fried and stuffed with a mincemeat, dried fruit and brandy mixture.  sweet not savory.  I’m thinking I could have your kind for dinner, and mine for dessert.

Try your next “empanadas” with some olives and brunette raisins in the filling (1 or 2 olives and 6 raisins per empanada), also with some red pepper as spice.

The filling can vary, chicken meat, sea food and cheese, sweet filling(apple and cinnamon etc).
