A couple of years ago, I was driving a friend’s then 7 year old to a party. I was playing Cesaria Evora and after a minute the little girl said, “Tricia? Can you turn that off? I don’t understand it. I don’t like it.” So I turned it off, though not happily. Flash forward to a couple of weeks later, while babysitting I was playing Evora again while the girls and I read a book. Thinking it was interrupting my awesome rendition of whatever I was reading, I turned off the music. That was followed by the six year old asking, “Why did you do that? Put it back, please?”
If I’m ever fortunate enough to have kids, I’d want my kids to be like the six year old. Because I’m greedy like that.
Also, dude. I didn’t know you watched Amazing Race! Think of all the recaps we’ve missed?!? For shame. Alsoly squared. Charla gets on my last ever loving nerve. I do not *heart* her.
