I have seen neither of these films, but I will go right out and buy a huge hat for my monkey.

That’s a good call re: not showing Frida’s pain.  I liked the movie but some things were bothering me, and I hadn’t put my finger on that part of it.  All we had was Salma telling us about it, which didn’t quite carry the day.

but people, people! frida had boobies and salma hayek boobies at that! i can’t be the only one that thinks this makes this a damn fine movie regardless of its (alleged) shortcomings. ugh. must i put EVERYTHING into perspective for you? it’s damn tiring if you must know.
