Well, now we all know how you got to be so wise. I must remember such sagacity and repeat it at appropriate occasions. Or maybe even inappropriate. I might try it out at a funeral, for example.
Point of order, though--listing unthankfulness isn’t a cynic’s choice; it’s the wise man’s choice. But I’m sure you weren’t talking about me. I don’t have a deep sonorous voice. In fact, a pretty girl once said to me “You’re really hot until you open your mouth and start talking.”
