nicely done.  my roommate my first year at davis had a similar experience - she was (likely still is, wherever she is these days) korean and built like a supermodel.  she grew up in ecuador, spoke flawless spanish.  the family moved to L.A. when she was around 15.  and every so often she’d get followed by local kids making comments in spanish about her nice ass or long legs, thinking she wouldn’t understand them.  she had a practiced response: she’d freeze in her tracks, whip herself around as if she’d reached the end of the catwalk, and blister the kids with a comeback i can’t repeat.  i saw her do it once; it made my month.  :)

oh i love this, dan!  i do this way, WAY too much.  if you look at me, you just see a short, fat, cute, gimpy mom.  easy to dismiss.  i turn it on.  my last evaluation was good, EXCEPT for the few people (inside the company) who complained that i was frightening.  yay!

and my son, jax of the long hair and piercings is one of THE MOST courteous and genuine 18 year olds you’ll ever meet.  freaks people out.

is this NOT one of the reasons we blog?
