What I like about old tv shows, like Carol Burnett, Red Skelton (?) and Andy Griffith was that they were entertaining without having to use profanity. That’s also something I like about your blog.

i curse on a semi-regular basis off-blog, and i don’t give it much thought. i hesitate a little in writing the words and publishing though. i guess because it’s so permanent. if i say fuck! it’s gone in an instant. posting is forever. or until i get sick of the whole damn thing and just burn the archives. i think that brings down the profanity a little.

Oddly, I’ve been considering lifting my self-imposed ban on blog profanity for the exact same reason...it feels artificial.  And all the reasons I decided to impose it don’t seem to matter much.
