Being Hung

Let me tell you all about Mr. Hung.  He markets his services with a pale pink flyer inscribed in black - “Hung’s Gardening Service / Make your home more beautiful with beautiful yard!  Save your time for important things.” It makes me think that Mr. Hung doesn’t consider his own work “important.” I find that rather sad.

Among the many apparently unimportant services he provides, as listed on the flyer, are “Mowing and Eding” and “24 hour service 7 days a week.” I don’t know what kind of sap needs eding services 24 hours a day, or during any of the hours of darkness for that matter, but anyone who needs eding 24/7 must not consider it unimportant.  I guess sometimes eding is the most important part of your night.  Especially if you’re, say, Ed.

Mr. Hung lists his phone number as “Mr Hung: 469-XXXX.” Those “X"s are really #s but I don’t wish to subject him to crankyankers.  However, the combination of “Mr Hung” and “469” makes me wonder if he’s in on the joke.  Maybe I’ll ask Ed.  He seems like a sophisticated chap.

that's just the way it seemed to me at 08:39 AM

you know, i’m pretty sure he was. eding, rhymes with weeding, yes, but also eating. ahem. and it IS 24 hours a day. he must be doing SOMETHING different in the night hours. heh heh heh.

I would laugh so hard if his first name was Will.

I never would’ve made the connection. Glad to see you on the ball. ;)
