I’m Confused.
okay, for those of you with high-speed connections, what do you make of this?

okay, for those of you with high-speed connections, what do you make of this?

A friend emailed me that link a few months ago. As an engineer, I’m trained to look for the logical questions and the one question that video clip never answers is “what happened to the airplane that disappeared if it didn’t strike the Pentagon?” Conspiracy theories are fun to entertain, but this one forgets to deal with the fact that an airplane and people disappeared at the same time that the Pentagon was hit. I need an explanation as to where it went before I’ll believe this theory.

the video only says it disappeared from radar 77 miles out. The point seems to be about the absence of evidence. They’re not saying something in particular *did* happen, but that something seems *not* to have happened - and if the feds wanted to cover up a crash site, I believe them more than capable of it… why would they? No idea. But it sure didn’t look like WTC at the pentagon…

Good point, but still not enough to convince me that this theory is right. I have to admit that I *was* disturbed by some of the allegations in the video. I’m just not sure I buy it.
One of the reasons that the Pentagon’s damage wasn’t as catastrophic as the WTC is because the building structure is much more heavily fortified and it’s cell-like, concentric-shell construction helped isolate the damage. The area that was hit was completely toast, but that damage didn’t snow-ball through the building because of the structure’s shape.

I saw this a few months ago too… I’m not sure what stuff they left in and left out, but a friend of ours was at Arlington National cemetary shooting pictures at a burial and got pictures of the plane. And my friend is a cop and was there immediately afterwards. It was a plane…

kate I’d love to know what your friend’s photos show. this video is pretty ambiguous. It does sound like it could well have been an airplane - but a 757? My thoughts when I first saw the pentagon crashsite footage was, “that looks a lot smaller than WTC was...” Such a well-reinforced building should have sheared off a lot of aluminum from the fuselage, and all that fuel should have toasted the grass. I’m having trouble ignoring these items of “non-evidence.”

I’m with you on that last comment, Dan. But I’m also with Lori in that what did happen to the planne? They never really address it in the video.
This was first time seeing this and all opinions aside, this scared the hell out of me. Music and image are powerful tools.

disturbing. does seem like there should be more evidence of an airliner, doesn’t there?

it’s my first time seeing the video. wow. that’s flat out disturbing!

Of course you’re right Gopi, and I’m embarassed I didn’t check snopes first. I must say that I don’t find their explanation dispositive; even some of the photos they show reveal unbroken windows and other minimized damage conditions I wouldn’t associate with this kind of crash. I certainly am not going to take Rumsfeld’s word on any of it. Snopes makes some good points but doesn’t seem, to me, to dispose of the matter as neatly as they often do with these things.

well, snopes or no snopes, that video is just plain creepy. geez.

THANKS DAN. Instead of doing… well, whatever it is that I do at work… I spent the last hour reading conspiracy web sites.
I agree that there were some cover-ups, but I’m not sure that missles and military planes were part of that.
I just hate it that the government can’t be more honest about things. The age of cover-ups is gone man… the Internet is out to get ya. Stop confiscating evidence and never showing the public. If it’s not harmful to the US, then show us what’s going on. Otherwise we’ll never trust you.

Hey. Don’t be doing this shit to me. I’m still trying to figure out who was shooting from the grassy knoll and who was shooting from the sewer.

I din’t watch it again but when I saw it a while back I noticed there was some graffitti on a wall(!)
