We interrupt this blog… Technical

We interrupt this blog...
Technical difficulties, consisting primarily of me spacing out and then hitting the wrong button and not realizing, have resulted in a partial blog to have appeared on this page for several hours.  We regret any anxiety or unearned dramatic effect in which this may have resulted.  One might consider it in the nature of a trailer for an upcoming blog.  In the meantime, and in case anyone else shows up while I’m extricating myself from this, Patricia has just sent me a poem that I didn’t even recognize but apparently I wrote last year, which I rather prefer to be the top item here.  We will return you to your regular blog as soon as possible. 

Ecstacies of pyrotechnics
three-card-monte us with sparkles
which ones are the points of light
and which ones are just flaming chunks
of wadded saltpeter and charcoal
your umbrella has caught fire
this is why I’m paying taxes?
